Shaws @ Mountbatten
The campus that started everything. Open since 1989, it has served more than 1,200 families — and we now teach the children of former pupils.
An East Coast fixture for over 35 years
Mountbatten was the first Shaws campus, and it remains the largest. It has been part of the East Coast landscape since 1989 — long enough that second-generation Shaws children are now enrolled here.
Twenty-five educators work across the levels, which means small groups and a lot of individual attention. The campus has the full run of Shaws facilities: gym, water play, garden, sandpit, mud kitchen, playground and a tinkering corner.
Everything runs on the ShawsPlay curriculum — bilingual lessons in the morning, Shaws Little League sports twice a week, and Play Club in the afternoons for children who don’t nap.

Yvonne Lim
Yvonne began at Shaws as Principal of the Katong Post Office campus and moved into her current role heading Mountbatten in 2020. She has extensive experience across early childhood education.
What she enjoys most is the transformation — watching a toddler become a confident six-year-old over a handful of years. Working with young children, as she puts it, keeps her on her toes: every day is different, and so is every child.

What parents here say
Shaws is perfect for active kids like Elliot. Under the gentle guidance of his teachers we’ve seen his confidence grow, and his fine motor and language skills develop rapidly.
The curriculum is very thoughtfully created. My child is learning so many new things and being exposed to all kinds of information.
Our son settled in seamlessly and especially loved the outdoor playtime. He’s become more curious and keen to explore.
