We have been busy implementing additional measures to ensure the health and safety of all our Shaws children.
Self-Disinfecting Coating for the Entire Centre
- The latest USA technology in self-disinfecting coating with an antimicrobial active layer which kills viruses, bacteria, and fungi for 6 to 9 months. This coating not only protects against coronaviruses but also other virus such as HFMD.
- Eco-friendly and safe for human contact using US-EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) approved ingredient.
- Engaged SUTL Enterprise (sole distributor) to apply SD Pro via professional hydro electrostatic applicator centre wide. Coating covers all internal surfaces including furnishings, equipment, toys, learning resources and books.
- Used by established companies and organisations, including Singapore Changi Airport, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, Yale-NUS College, and National University of Singapore.
- Shaws has used a similar product during the H1N1 outbreak and we were happy with the results.
One Reusable Mask for Every Child and Teacher
- Procured customised child-size, adjustable and reusable mask for every child and teacher to wear in the centre.
Additional Staff Medical Precautions
- Staff will be going for a one-time swab test for COVID-19 by the Health Promotion Board.
- Staff will be going to take the seasonal influenza vaccination to minimise risk of transmission.
